Thought I should keep up on here and ‘make an effort”!
So things have changed around here just myself and my 10yr old Sol, who has been a superstar recently. Anyway its just me and Sol for the time being although I do see my 11yr old Hollie at least twice a week

IM BACK!! The back end of 2009 was pretty grim for me (various family issues) but thankfully things have settled down a lot! Looking forward to 2010 for development of my web work (and the day job!) so keep checking back for lots of updates on things wordpressy and lots thats going on in my life.
C&W Berry Trade Show 2009

Over the last 3 day’s we have hosted our popular 3 day trade event at work (C&W Berry Ltd). As we are the largest independent builders’ merchant in the North west of England this event never fails to pull 
the crowds, with over a thousand customers per day attending along with 100 or so suppliers/manufacturers to meet and talk to.
The show has a real family feel to it which we encourage because Berry’s as a company have strong community values, all in all a good time was had by all everyone was given a free ‘goodie bag’ full of Berry merchandise which I have spent the last few months organizing and designing.
Hollie and Sol were both really upset as they couldn’t make it to the show this year (childcare problems!) maybe if they speak to Dad nicely they’ll get a bit of something from the show
Welcome To My Blog

OK I have been threatening for over a year that I will create my own blog, I finally got round to installing WordPress! (My thinking is if I have some content then it will be more worthwhile creating a design.)
My own custom theme is in development right now so I am using an out of the box WP Theme for the time being, credits to the authors.
Rock in the Park

Yesterday myself and Hollie (pictured with Laura) went down to Avenham Park with 7 or so thousand other music fans to see a host of acts perform in the free concert hosted by Rock FM. I must say all in all it was pretty well organized except somebody forgot to order the sunshine! We stuck it out for 3 hours until finally deciding enough was enough! So we came home and got dry. There was some pretty good acts on including Beverly Knight, Tinchy Stryder, and Just Jack to name just a few not a bad line-up for FREE! I do think banning all alcohol from the event was a mistake, after all the party in the park was sponsored by Heineken in past years and I remember having a really good time at the previous events..

Since we formed Equal Design I have migrated to an Imac for all my design work (which was the right decision!) however I find networking between Windows Vista and Mac OSX flakey if not impossible! Hence my latest purchase 
The Western Digital My Book World Edition 1TB this device is the ideal tool for sharing data with multiple computers as well as backing up those same systems. The networked My Book has been around for some time and even though this release marks a major overhaul the name was not changed. The new one-terabyte World Edition has revamped the internals, making for a device that has faster transfer speeds than previous models as well as slight changes to the exterior. I’ll let you know how it performs soon!
